"I'm a teacher and until recently part of my job involved invigilating (watching over students as they take) exams. Deathly dull work until we brightened it up with ugly kid battle ships. Each seat had a reference number, and myself and the two or three other staff would stroll around writing down the numbers of where we thought the 8 ugliest kids sat. We would then meet and try to guess each others numbers. Endless variations - smelly kid, geeky kid etc.

"We also played slow Pacman, one would be Pacman and the others were ghosts and we had to chase around the exam hall at slow envigilator speed, if the ghosts got to a corner spot the tide was turned for 5 mins."

Just a funny anonymous post on a message board that I wanted to share. Who knew teachers were people too.

It's been going around - the first time I saw it was months ago, but I came across it again today and decided to do it.

I really need practice with more "advanced" coloring methods instead of just selecting three different shades of the same color to slap onto a surface.

On a different note, this hideous piece of fecal matter is the second entry when searching google for "coloring tutorial".

This is the third. And it is even more hideous.

Seriously, what are these people thinking? I can understand if you're not the best at drawing, because we all started there, but, why, why teach other people how to draw as badly as you do?

And if anyone wants it, I will put up a list of "good" tutorials I have found online.

My high scores and a game that I just lost at. It was looking up at the beginning, too. Yeah, I know, I'm not too good at it (never been able to get past the rank ENSIGN), but damn it's addicting. I edited out my name, if you're wondering what's behind the gray blob.

As for RL: One week off of school isn't that great.

I have startling news. I have started a new comic. I have just "finalized" page one, and I am posting it here.

Some background info on this is here for your convienience. I recently decided that I need practice drawing, as turning out high-quality (or at least not shitty quality) pictures quickly is not a particular skill of mine. So, I decided to draw a comic, though it is probably closer to what some people would call a "doujinshi". But that is a sickening word, mostly because I'm afraid I'll be called a japanophile or a weeaboo, depending on where you are from.

Anyway, even though I'm not a member of the FFVIII fandom, I'm still drawing a comic based on a battle between Seifer and Squall. This is actually based on the story Defining Love by DB2020, which is a SeiferSquall mpreg-based fanfiction that doesn't suck (unlike many of similar genre), has superb characterization, and is all-around awesome. If you've read it, then you will know that this is based on the fight scene in Chapter 10.
